Flying High

On my way to Sai Noi, I happened to see this magnificent play of light with patches of differing shades. I captured the scene without much of a thought. The significance of the photo only dawned on me when I looked at it again on my computer screen.
I was the lone bird who managed to be on his own flight back home. Oblivious to the incoming darkness brought forth by dawn, its course through the skyline became a journey.
When we leave the comforts of our own home, it means a change of perspective and a need to become stronger. Just like the bird, it has to rely on its own strength to complete its course. Flying from one place to the next, seeking food to eat, finding a resting place, and nesting for a specific point of its life are all embodied in its existence.
So when we walk away, we have that determination to succeed and be our best. For in our short journeys we learned, and with our long ones, a destination.
Wherever our feet bring us, may our aspiration be a catalyst for a better life. It is a choice and the time is now. Remember that life is not all swiftly gliding through, it will also be chaotic. And if they become one, learn from it and embrace change.
