My Sunflowers
Scenario One.
Child: Do you know why I hold your hand when we walk?
Me: No.
Child: I hold your hand because I love you.
Scenario Two.
Me: Why are you laughing? Are you very happy?
Child: I don't really laugh like this. I only laugh when I am with you because you are very funny.
Scenario Three.
Mum: My son doesn't want to wear his costume for the Book Character day.
Me: I'll work on it.
Later, a photo was sent to the mum where his son was wearing the costume.
Mum: You are a really great teacher.
Three different scenarios from three different people. One is a little child, three years old. The other is a grade schooler, eight. While the last one is a mum of twins who was unsure how her boys would react to being in my class.
All three are my sunflowers. I get the strength to continue with my craft from people like them. I get to further enhance my abilities and relationships when I am surrounded by these nice remarks.
Though I need no validation of how I am, it feels good to hear nice words from people around me. I seek peace every day, and such beautiful words make me smile and feel at ease. And the reason why I garden is that I feel the same when I am surrounded by nature.
