Philo Haul

This second wave of Covid-19 pandemic is making big stress and fright to almost all of us here in Thailand. In my case, I cut-off my winter holidays to three days and decided to stay home for the rest of the three weeks off. This was the first as I was always gallivanting myself to different parts of Thailand during my Christmas breaks.

And when I am home, the urge to go outside was there as I was longing in my heart and feet, to visit plant markets or centres around me. Checking whether any Covid-infected person recently visited a place I wanted to go, I chickened out knowing that the risk was high.

In my boredom, I was able to repot most of my plants at home and appreciated all the nicest plant species I had through these years until one day when I received a call from a friend. They own a plant farm and you could probably guess where the conversation went. It was all about plants and another invite.  I always receive invites but I am discouraged by the distance.

She was going to her sister's farm and she asked as to what kind of plants I would like to have for myself. My heart was going pitter patter, could it?, and suggested some that I wished for.  To make a story short, or shorter, she got me the most beautiful philodendrons I ever had.

I actually paid for them but I was charged very minimal for all those wonderful bounties. I don't know but owning and taking care of plants make me happy. And when I share this story through this blog, I feel happier.

One day, I will plant more when I am already in my own home.
