Tulips in Chiang Rai

Every year, I travel around Thailand to see how the country reinvent itself.  The many distinctive features are always present but every year, there are always something new to look forward to.  This time, my itchy feet brought me to Chiang Rai.

My first stop was right in the middle of the city in Suan Tung and Khome Park.  Chiang Rai Dok Mai Ngam was a stunning presentation of outstanding colours and of the sweetest smell. It was a plethora that delights all the senses.

Of course, the star of the show was this magnificent display of tulips grown in this cold part of Northern Thailand.  I had been to the Netherlands but it was spring time so there were no tulip fields.  This time, I was indeed lucky to be surrounded by hundreds of them.

Help us to be ever faithful gardeners of the spirit, who know that without darkness nothing comes to birth, and without light nothing flowers.
