Celebration Day Three

9:00 am

I had an early start as I need to go to the cemetery to visit the graves of my mum, dad and grandpa.  The cab driver was gracious enough to stop so I could get some flowers and candles for offering.  I wanted to cry and I did, but not the intensity I wanted as I need to release what is killing inside of me. I begged off and gave my prayers instead.

11:00 am

I took another cab to go to the Mall of Asia where I got the opportunity to use wifi at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, a shop I frequent when I visit Manila.  Receiving numerous birthday greetings from Facebook, Viber, Line and one from Whatsapp, I was delighted to read messages coming from all these apps.

12:30 noon

I was picked up by my brother where we all went to have lunch at Dampa in the Macapagal area.  My sister and her only child came, along with my two grandchildren.  My brother was with her wife and two children. The place is for seafood lovers where one needs to visit the market and have them cooked by your chosen restaurant.  We had an assortment of seashells baked, blanched and cooked.  I got what I asked for by getting tuna and salmon sashimi.  We also added shrimps, crabs, and grilled tuna to our orders.

I did not eat much as I was already full just by looking at all those food. Nah, it might be the iced tea that came in first, darn those drinks. I got some presents from my sister in law for Christmas and for my birthday.  It was so gracious of her.  After almost two hours, we parted ways as I need to be in another get-together.

3:00 pm

I met my aunt and her daughter afterwards and we picked my cousin in law before heading for mass at Mary Mother of Hope Chapel inside a mall called Landmark.  It was such an organized service but lacking of seats as the entire area was filled with mass goers.

6:00 pm

We went for hamburgers after the mass, though given the freedom to choose, we ended at Army Navy.  This was a disappointment because the burrito I ordered failed compared to a nearby Mexican restaurant near my place in Bangkok.  But like what we all say, it was the company, not the food that mattered.  We topped my special day with halo-halo from Razon's before calling it a day, or night.

9:45 pm

But I was wrong. When I arrived home, a text message was received and it was an invitation for coffee.  I was picked up by two high school friends and another friend joined us later at Serenitea.  I had Milk Tea with Pearl (wishing they were real pearls so I could just hang them around my neck and it will worth more than a dollar).   The place closed at 11 so we scouted for another place and ended at UCC Cafe and had a cake and a crepe.  Yummilicious!  I am now a certified diabetic after all these eating binges.

12:30 am

I slept that day with a smile knowing that I am loved by many.  My stomach was filled and so was my heart.  It was a wonderful, wonderful day!
