Getting to Know You 9
Me by JT |
Student: I don't know how to draw a girl!
Me: Why don't you think of your sister. She's a girl and she's pretty.
Student: She's not pretty but I can draw her.
Me: I know you have a big house.
Student: I know, we have lots of money!
Me quiet.
Me: You use them for walking and you put your shoes on them.
Student: I know, foot!
Me: But we have two, what is the correct word for it?
Student: Foots!
Me: What did you see along the way coming to school?
Student 1: I don't know, I don't look outside the window.
Student 2: I don't know.
Me: Fair enough, let me change the question. What did you eat for breakfast?
Student 2: Rainbow!
Me: Where is this going?
Me: Can you write something in a full sentence.
Student: Fine! You are an asshole!
Me: Shut the Front Door!
Student: I have many houses in my candies.
Me: HUH?
And the biggest HUH!
Me: If you had saved money to buy yourself a Christmas present,
what would it be?
Grade One student: A dildo!
Me: WHAT?!?!?!
Leaving you my dear readers to think whether you also want it or not for Christmas as my student might know where to get one for you. Have a nice day!

I didn't know what's that word until I was in my late 30s.
i could relate to the rainbow... I ate rainbow cereal for breakfast :) mixed with granolaaaahhhhh! Hehe.
I know their business and it is not that!
My mum never let us eat things that are sugary so no rainbow for us. It's oatmeal everyday!
Great job!I know you enjoy with kids, but sometimes you have to be patient with them. I was a piano teacher for kids and adults. Now I have no energy to handle naughty kids. Enjoy your day!
It's fun and stressful as well but when one loves his job, then it is not work. I handeled higher levels but opted for the preschoolers for their jubilant anecdotes and camaraderie.
Yes, I have more patience with children than grown-ups. There will come a day that I will give up and see no more of unwelcome behaviour. I believe it comes with age. Glad to know something about you today, a piano teacher. One of my wish is to learn piano and I did on my own but I can only play songs I sing in class. Have a lovely day to you too.
Ano na ang nangyayari sa mga kabataan nowadays?
Bigyan kita ng halimbawa. I used to have my haircut in a small barber shop where there were two machines for playing games. All I heared from my visits were tangina and tanga. I also miss sentences with a po or opo at the end.
Some could be purely innocent while some picked up rude and vulgar language from their own parents too.
My wife was teaching the kids from the private high school once and she often shared frightful incidents about them including tryst stories!
The kids will always keep your blood circulation running! Enjoy and it is your noble job to guide them. Many years down the road, many ex students still come back to have coffee chats with my wife as she had planted good seeds inside them for life. I am sure your great sense of humor would be cherished by your students for life too.
I am guessing you are taking a break from your trip right now. Glad to hear from you. I don't know if I get to have coffee with my students in the future as I do not know if they will ever remember me. I teach preschoolers and maybe, the mums can remember better.
Our recent conversations while having snack range from birth, death, dying, familial relationships, and marriage. I teach four years old children, waahhh!
I was once a private tutor at nakaencounter ako ng mga bata na talagang minsan eh may attitude.. minsane nakiki-ride on na lang ako haha
I asked the child to repeat his answer in a very casual way until I was sure I heard it right. I even asked him to tell me what it was. He told me he saw it on youtube, hmmm.... Should I be doing a search?
Maraming may attitude as teachers and tutors also have theirs. It's up to us how we deal with them.
