Oh, the thrill of traversing the beautiful landscapes of Thailand! I used to embark on exciting journeys across this vibrant country, hopping from province to province every month. The countryside captures my heart with its lush greenery and refreshing air, offering a delightful escape from the bustling city life.

Nakhon Nayok

 Sai Noi 

One of my favorite spots is Nakhon Nayok, where I indulge in a little shopping spree for clothing and quirky gifts for my colleagues. I love to joke about my trips there just to snag some socks at a fraction of the department store prices—much to the amusement of my friends! When I'm in the mood for a haircut or a cozy restaurant with a countryside vibe, I head to Sai Noi.

Nakhon Ratchasima

Among my most cherished destinations is Nakhon Ratchasima, where I immerse myself in vibrant flowers at my student’s renowned flower park. Then there’s Sangklaburi, where I cross the iconic wooden bridge for stunning selfies and treat myself to a mouthwatering dinner of Burmese-style samosas. And let’s not forget Kanchanaburi, where I sip coffee by the River Kwai, float on a bamboo raft, or take a refreshing swim. If you venture to Kanchanaburi, be sure to explore Pi Lok—the ethereal fog that blankets the area in the afternoon creates a magical, ghostly atmosphere!

I’ve visited Phrae countless times, as I have a lovely home there with a small garden boasting fruit trees. The warmth of the community is heartwarming; the neighbors greet me like family as I stroll through the neighborhood. Chiang Mai enchants me with its vibrant night markets brimming with contemporary art and its delightful weather. The exquisite flower gardens during winter are simply breathtaking!

And how could I forget Chiang Rai? The abundance of tea and sugar cane plantations is a sight to behold. My heart flutters for Pai, where the cozy ambiance and irresistible roasted sticky rice keep me coming back for more. Topping off my list of northern gems are Mae Hong Son and Mae Sot, where local culture and homestay experiences thrive, especially in the fantastically cool winter months!
