whom I should be

While growing up trying to be expected, I wasn't being true to myself. Years passed, and I hid everything to save face, to avoid hurt, and even to be with what society dictated me to be.

I was born with so many inhibitions, doubts, a lack of confidence, and a boy neglected from being loved as a son. I was living a life dictated by my family, my conscience, and what the people around me would like me to be.

I was never me.
