A Mysterious Place
Fifteen kilometres northeast of the town of Phrae is Phae Muang Phi Forest Park, a large area of barren land of approximately 167 rais, renowned for its distinctive rock formations due to a natural process of soil erosion. Apart from the famous mushroom rocks, there are cliffs and pillars and other shapes as well, with some rising 20 metres or more above the surrounding land. (source: Tourism Authority of Thailand)
It is indeed amazing how nature's imperfections become a natural tourist attraction for many. Known to be ghost-inhabited before, this is now a well-known attraction in Phrae.
