Ikebana
The art of Ikebana is something that I have not taken into consideration of pursuing or learning. Gardening with Bonsai plants yes!, but not the art of arranging flowers. Most of these intricate arrangements show passion, patience and uttermost creativity. For some, the finished product can be seen on a subjective level, whether they actually captured the emotions of the viewers or they gave meanings to the people who looked at them.
I was fortunate enough to see some of the creations made by Japanese Ikebana artists under the theme of Mother's Day of which Thailand celebrates on the 12th of August, in commemoration of the Queen's birthday.

In Ikebana, the flowers are imbued with a human meaning. They are no longer the flowers of the meadow or the flower shop...the result is an expression of the Ikebana artist. (Kadensho, Teshigahara's Diary)

During the Japanese Culture Festival here in Florence meron silang parang crash course about ikebana.
I went there out of curiosity. They taught us about it and the philosophy behind this art.
It wasn't really for me. I massacred the plants and flowers, and my work was monstrous. The instructor was very nice. She said that it's okay because it was my first time.
I just don't have the patience for such thing. I went away to find the nearest food stall and asked for sweets. Ah, art may fail me, but food will always be there to console me. Hahaha!
I wonder if anything Japanese suh as Ikebana is known or popular in your country. Might be food eh?
I ammore interested in interpreting the arrangements. Why certain things should be at his side. If there are numbers to follow just like n Haiku. If size and colours do matter.

I like eating too, especially sweets, and when I go on a buffet, I always visit the dessert table first. If we cannot make our minds rich with art then we might as well make our bellies rich with food.

Sa akin nga walng na-retain na info about Ikebana. I know how they look like but I do not know the reason for them.

Have you seen the Japanese children when they eat food from their bento boxes, so neat! I like how they do their craft, so neat!
